Hello, I'm Dolphin2Point0!

A primer on me

If you're here, you probably know me from discord... I haven't really done much outside of it yet. You might also be a real-life friend or a family member. If so, hi. This is my website, and my handle (for now). I hope you like it.

Pronouns: he/they, but really I don't care that much.

Computer engineer by major, programmer by trade, and artist/writer by hobby.

Is that me?

Unfortunately, when picking a handle, it will happen that other people will pick the same handle. A shame, really. Here's some accounts that are me.

• I won't give an exact discord handle, because I can see that could possibly become a problem in the future, but as of now, my display name is Dolphin 2.0.
• dolphin2.0. on youtube (although, only bad gmod ttt videos are on there right now...)
• Dolphin2Point1 (yes, 1!) on github. I changed it once, and I don't dare to change it back lest I break some cursed link.

Those are the two current places I am currently active. However, there are some people (and a project) who are explicitly not me.

• I am not affiliated with the actual Dolphin Emulator project.
• I am not the SMM2 troll maker Dolphin. Her troll levels are awesome.
• If you have found a Dolphin or Dolphin 2.0 account on a social media like Reddit, Bluesky, Mastodon, or Twitter, chances are, that's not me. I've removed myself from other social medias, so you might find a handful of dead accounts, but nothing active.

Dolphin History

As a fun little aside, I have catalogued the history of my main handle, specifically the one used on my discord.

• I was a young kid (who should not have been on the internet) in 2017, and of all things I "needed" Discord to talk to other kid friends while playing Roblox. I had no handle yet, but I liked the dolphin emulator, so I named myself Dolphin, and set my profile picture to the Dolphin emulator logo, with a white background.
• Eventually, sometime in 2020, I changed my username to NoLongerADolphin, and my profile picture... was a roblox character dabbing. Yep, was definitely still a kid.
• Even then, I did not like that handle, and I changed it a few months later to Dolphin 2.0. Compared to the last two handles, this is a moderately decent handle, as it is different enough to where it isn't taken on every platform known to exist.
